Woman hit by own car after losing control of it in Medina
GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Slippery conditions caused a scary scene Monday afternoon in Medina.
Authorities tell us a woman lost control when she accelerated too quickly from a traffic light, causing her car to spin.
Officers say her damaged door flew open and she fell out. The woman was then hit by her moving car, but luckily she escaped with just a few scratches and bruises.
Authorities say this could have been avoided if the woman was wearing her seat belt.
She was taken by ambulance from the scene, but officers expect her to recover.
