Manhattan Project Park looks back at secrecy, security
OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (AP) – A program being presented at Oak Ridge next month is designed to provide insight into life there during the Manhattan Project.
The Manhattan Project National Historical Park program is scheduled for 3 p.m. July 8 at the Turnpike Gatehouse. The program is free and open to the public, but parking is limited.
The park says the program will look at life at that time with security, the need for secrecy and the worry of spies.
The gatehouse is located at 2900 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Parking will be next to the gatehouse on the north side of the road.
