Condolence books give local fans chance to honor Pat Summitt

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Friends and fans of Pat Head Summitt are making certain her family knows how much they cared for the beloved coach.

Pat Summitt condolence booksBrownsville and Bells Funeral Homes have guest-register condolence books both in Haywood and Crockett County where fans and friends can express their feelings of grief.

They now have 15 locations in both counties for you to sign the books, which will be there until Friday, July 8.

“What we’ll do is combine all these pages into one book and send the package to the family,” said D.J. Brewer, owner of Bells and Brownsville Funeral Home.

Once the books are filled, they will be delivered to Summitt’s family.

A public memorial service for Summitt will be held on Thursday, July 14, in Knoxville.
