Milan police investigate theft of Freightliner semi-truck

MILAN, Tenn. — Police are investigating the recent overnight theft of a Freightliner truck from a parking lot.

A truck driver reported the theft of his 1996 Freightliner on Sunday, telling police it was missing when he showed up for work, according to a report from the Milan Police Department.

Whoever took the truck detached the trailer and left it behind, according to the report.

An investigator tried to fingerprint the trailer but was unable to recover any evidence.

The truck is described as a black 1996 Freightliner with “Knight’s Farms” on the side, a flat top and a sleeper on the back. It has a Tennessee license plate reading F5114HY.
