Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Thursday
Skies will start out mainly clear but with the approaching front, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible in northwest Tennessee into the morning. Temperatures will only drop to the middle and upper 60s by sunrise Friday. A front moving into the region will also provide our area with a chance for scattered storms from Friday through the 4th of July.
FRIDAY
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible tomorrow as the front continues to sink farther south into the region. Many areas will remain dry but those that get rain could get the heavy stuff. Be alert for thunder and lightning in your area tomorrow! Temperatures will warm up to the upper 80s and lower 90s.
THIS WEEKEND
Some of the computer model data is still not in complete agreement with the weekend forecast, but most of it suggests that the front will be close enough to give us a chance for more scattered thunderstorms each day. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s each day with the humidity making afternoon temps feel like they’re in the middle to upper 90s. The most likely chance for rain when most of West Tennessee could get rain will be on Monday. Right now the latest data is suggesting that the rain could come through mostly in the morning leaving drier conditions for the evening hours. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for updates to this forecast which is still likely to change a bit!
Have a great evening!
