Police: Man stole cash from St. Jude donation box at Martin restaurant

MARTIN, Tenn. — A Weakley County man is charged with theft after police say he stole cash from a St. Jude donation box at a Martin restaurant.

James Austin Foust, 28, of Sharon, is accused of stealing the money June 27 at Little Caesars Pizza on Commons Drive, according to a release from the Martin Police Department.

Police say they obtained surveillance video showing the incident, which the business owners also posted on Facebook.

Several people identified Foust as the man in the video, according to the release.

Weakley County deputies arrested Foust Thursday on a theft charge and booked him into the Weakley County Detention Center.

Foust is set to be arraigned at 2 p.m. July 7.
