Woman involved in McNairy Co. crash has died

McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — An Adamsville woman has died from injuries sustained in a Thursday crash near Selmer, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

car-wreck15.jpgWanda Plunk, 75, died Sunday morning at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, according to a THP report.

The crash occurred around 11:23 a.m. Thursday on Purdy Road about four miles northeast of Selmer, according to the report.

Plunk was traveling southbound when the second vehicle, which was traveling northbound, crossed into her path, according to the report. The vehicles struck each other on the front driver’s sides.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 22-year-old Selmer man, was also injured in the crash. There were no details about the nature of his injuries.
