Jackson attorney censured by state

JACKSON, Tenn.-A Jackson attorney has been censured, or given a warning from the state, stemming from a complain involving a trust account.

According to the state board of professional responsibility, Jack Colin Morris acted inappropriately by
opposing counsel prior to receiving sufficient funds from his client, causing an overdraft of his attorney trust account.

This censure is a warning, but does not affect an attorney’s ability to practice law.
