Weather Update – 9:00 p.m. Friday

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue to be possible into the early evening with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will become light overnight but mild and muggy conditions will likely continue. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 70s by early Saturday.

THIS WEEKEND
A slow-moving cold front is forecast to drop into the region this weekend with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing along the front both days. Rain will not be falling all weekend long, there will be breaks, but the front won’t leave the region until Monday. Some storms could be strong at times producing strong winds or hail but we’ll also have to be on the lookout for localized flash flooding. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s this weekend.

NEXT WEEK
After Monday our rain chances diminish with relatively drier weather as we head into the middle of next week. Temperatures will gradually return to near normal levels with highs near 90°F. The chance for rain is slight right now looking at most of next week. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the very latest updates to this forecast!

Have a great weekend!
