Charity horse show benefits youth organization

JACKSON, Tenn– Get ready to start your horses!

The Mid South horse show association hosted their annual charity horse show in Pugh Bourne Park Saturday.

Secretary of the charity horse show, Cynthia Wright said “it takes a lot of money to put all of this together and it takes a lot of time. Our community is so generous to share in their good fortunes”.

The horse show is benefiting the Youth Town organization, a substance abuse treatment facility for adolescence.

Youth Town Executive Director, Pepper Pratt said “we just experienced a real blessing of feeling valued by the community and we feel very treasured”.

There was a petting zoo, face paintings, and kids riding horses for community members enjoyment.

And it was all for a good cause.

“With everything that’s happening in the world we need this we need this togetherness and we need this time just to come together. It’s all kind of nationalities and races out here just enjoying one another’s company”. Horse show attendee, Elonda Wade said.

A family event that even made the little ones have a great time.

Elonda Wade’s daughter, Khaliah Wade said “I’ve been enjoying this day and I’ve been having so much fun and I just wanted to have some fun here”.

All of the proceeds from the charity show are going to the Youth Town organization.
