Local business featured in BuzzFeed article for Pokemon-friendly sign

JACKSON, Tenn. — A new downtown Jackson business gets national attention for welcoming trainers of every walk of life.

Woodstock Bake Shop’s hospitality is catching on online, especially in the newest craze of “Pokemon Go.”

One of the store’s signs was featured in a BuzzFeed article for welcoming trainers to the business, which appears as a Pokemon Go “gym” to those playing the mobile game. Woodstock’s sign is listed as No. 7 in the article.

“I think it’s really awesome,” said Matt Childress, owner of Woodstock Bake Shop. “I look at BuzzFeed stuff, so to see your picture on there, it’s really impressive.”

A number of other Jackson locations are featured in the game as either “Pokestops” or other gyms.
