Fall preview with Jackson Christian

JACKSON, Tenn — Today’s fall preview stopped at Jackson Christian High to visit with the Eagles and get an update on how their getting ready for the upcoming season.

The Eagles return a bunch of talent on the offensive side, and their starting quarterback.  So points should be no problem for the Eagles offense this fall.

Last year they finished the year 4-10, but that record doesn’t show the step they took. The Eagles made the playoffs and one their first round game. That motivated the team through the entire off-season.

“It felt good to like get that playoff experience, for sure because it’s like something we haven’t done here in a very long time,” said Will Buehler, starting quarterback.  “And you know, still getting four wins, obviously we’d like to do better.”

Both the players and coaches are ready to get this season rolling.

“Oh man, I’m excited, you don’t do this for the money,” said Todd Roland, head coach.  “You don’t do it for the great hours, or the great working conditions, so you got to be excited.”
