Police investigate Jackson gas station fire as possible arson
JACKSON, Tenn. — A fire at an abandoned business on Airways Boulevard has investigators looking into the possibility of arson.
A little after 3 a.m. Tuesday, the Jackson Fire Department responded to a fire at a former gas station.
According to the battalion chief, the gas station had been closed for some time and the utilities were turned off.
That section of Airways Boulevard was closed for almost three hours so firefighters could access the fire hydrant on the other side of the street.
If you have information that could help with the investigation, call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
