Maxwell Tyler McFarland is charged with theft over $10,000 on accusations of stealing the jewelry and pawning the woman’s bracelet and a diamond wedding band, according to court papers.

The woman told police McFarland is a family member and that the jewelry started disappearing from her Jackson home during February or March.

Charging documents say the total amount of stolen jewelry is listed at $46,352.

She told officers she found a pawn receipt in McFarland’s vehicle for the sale of a golden bracelet. She told police she then bought the bracelet back from Affordable Jewelry & Pawn Shop only to have it stolen again.

Police say they contacted the pawn shop June 29 and recovered the woman’s gold and diamond wedding band. They say records show McFarland sold the stolen ring June 21. The appraised value of the stolen ring is $1,480, according to the affidavit.
