Workout Wednesday: Athlete style

JACKSON, Tenn –This weeks Workout Wednesday, we went to the Lift Wellness Center in Downtown Jackson to visit with personal  trainer Blake Butler and his fitness class.

He focuses on athletic training, making one more explosive and quicker while gaining strength.

Member Hunter Travis had a few choice words, “It really just takes my fitness to the next level, we do a variety from cardio, to strength endurance, to even flexibility.”

The class is broken down into three parts. Core exercises which include squats, bench press, pull ups and dead lift. Next they move to accessories, which include lunges, kettle bell swing and presses. This is targeted more towards single body movements. Last they focus on full body conditioning, with high reps, minimal break exercises.

These classes are available at the Lift Wellness Center in Downtown Jackson three days a week.
