THP wins first place in national highway patrol category
NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Congratulations to the Tennessee Highway Patrol as the department has won first place in the highway patrol or state agency category in the nation for 2016.
Agencies of similar sizes were judged on programs and public safety efforts.
The agency also received awards for traffic incident management and technology from the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
