Air Evac team in Martin hosts ‘Law Enforcement Appreciation Picnic’
MARTIN, Tenn. — Local groups partnered up Friday to provide free lunch for their brothers in blue.
The Law Enforcement Appreciation Picnic was sponsored by the local Air Evac 31 team and hosted at the Martin Parks and Recreation soccer pavilion.
Members of Weakley County EMS and the Martin City Fire Department helped with the cookout.
With controversy all over the country involving police, Weakley County officials say it was nice showing over 100 local officers they care.
“We’ve fed about 120 people so far today,” said Kent Martin with the Air Evac Life Team. “We invited the law enforcement along with their families and anybody who was interested in supporting law enforcement here in the EMS and fire community.”
