Milan AgResearch Center prepares for No-Till Field Day
MILAN, Tenn. — Farmers from all over the country will learn about the latest research and technology in crop production Thursday as the UT AgResearch Center hosts the 29th Milan No-Till Field Day.
More than 40 research-based presentations will take place across the grounds, and an agricultural industry trade show begins at 7 a.m.
“I’ve seen the day grow,” Milan UT AgResearch Center Director Blake Brown said. “I’ve seen lots of activities and lots of things through the years, and it’s just a great celebration for agriculture for West Tennessee.”
“Farmers and people involved in our agricultural industry all over the United States, they come from almost every state in the union and also foreign companies to learn about no-till farming,” Milan Mayor B.W. Beasley said.
Starting at 9 a.m., Farmers vs. Hunger volunteers will pack meals that will be distributed to local food banks.
The event is free. For more information, visit the UT Institute of Agriculture website.
