Workout Wednesday: HIIT style
JACKSON, Tenn — For this weeks Workout Wednesday we took things back to the full body style.
Thanks to One on One Total Fitness, they introduced me to a workout called, “HIIT”. Known as High Intensity Interval Training. This workout is designed to use rapid movements, with minimal rest. It works everything from your abs, shoulders and legs.
The workouts consist of high knees, then you move to bur-pees for the entire body. You then move to pop squats, which works on your lower body mixed in with a little conditioning. Next we go to jumping jacks, and finish with plank taps, working on your core and shoulders.
The workout is to be done in 30 minutes. You do each exercise for 30 seconds, rest 15, then repeat eight times. The times can be altered depending on the level of fitness, you can decrease or increase your rest times.
