Current

There is a storm moving eastward along Fayette, Hardemen, and reaching up into Madison Counties. It is still producing lightening, but that is more or so along the Tennessee, Mississippi border. Everyone seems to be uniform temperature wise anywhere in the 70s still at 10a. More northern areas are seeing the heavier clouds lingering, but those of us in central west Tennessee are seeing some peaks of sunshine already this morning.

We are going to hang onto that chance for rain or a scattered thunderstorm today. Thunderstorms could pop up, causing heavier downpours, so flash flooding is the main concern if they do start forming. Temperatures are going to be below average today with a high of 88°, but the humidity level won’t make it feel much milder than what we’ve been feeling.

Rest of the Week

Sunday is going to look a lot like the forecast for Saturday. Another round of rain or scattered thunderstorm chances will remain for the day and taper off into the evening hours. The temperature will also be lower than average at 87° for the high. All of the moisture that is hanging around, until the cold front pushes through Tennessee, will keep our dewpoints fairly high giving us that damp, sticky air. Chances to see sunshine will also be likely, it all just depends on whether we have thunderstorms set up creating those big fluffy clouds.

We are going to climb back into the 90s this week, not receiving much relief from the intense heat, but the cold front will hopefully alleviate some of the moisture hanging around in the air. Monday will also keep a chance of rain showers here and there. A possible thunderstorm could be likely, but not as likely as Saturday and Sunday are. The rest of the week should be typical July weather. There is a chance for rain every day the rest of the week.
