Dozens of seed vents reported stolen from Humboldt cotton gin

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Police are investigating the reported theft of dozens of metal seed vents from a local cotton gin.

Officers with the Humboldt Police Department responded Monday to the cotton gin on McKnight Street where 75 to 100 metal seed vents had been taken from the property, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

The vents are reportedly valued at around $100 apiece.
