Heavy rains cause flooding in south Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.-Severe storms rocked much of West Tennessee Tuesday evening, bringing lots of lightning and even prompting a tornado warning in Madison County.

Those same storms also dumped heavy rains as they passed through.
On North Kentucky Avenue, in the Bemis community in south Jackson, heavy rains caused flash flooding, threatening homes.

The severe weather hit during the evening’s commute, causing problems for drivers.
