Weather Update: 9:30 PM Wednesday

Currently temps are in the mid 70s to mid 80s across the area. Tonight temps look to sit in the low to mid 70s. Storms are approaching the area and lead to some overnight showers and thunderstorms. Heat Advisories continue through Friday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are building in Missouri and through Kentucky, this could push a few storms through the area as we head overnight tonight. They won’t be widespread in nature but could still bring a few areas some more rain and a little bit of lightning.

Tonight temps look to fall into the mid 70s and we keep the chance for overnight showers and thunderstorms. Some storms overnight could become strong in nature bringing back heavy rain and strong wind.

Thursday keeps a slight chance for more pop up showers with the heating of the day. Heat advisories remain in effect until 8 PM Friday. Afternoon feel like conditions look to reach to 105 degrees or hotter in the areas under the advisory. The chance for strong storms each afternoon takes us into next week. The moisture in the atmosphere will allow the feel like conditions to soar and give some energy to allow the storms to pop. Temps try to take a break early next week but we still keep temps in the low to mid 90s.
