Man charged in deaths of ex-dance team captain, boyfriend
BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) – A Bay St. Louis man has been charged with murder in the shooting deaths of a former University of Southern Mississippi dance team captain and her boyfriend.
The Sun Herald reports that 26-year-old Myrick Laneaux appeared in court Wednesday and was ordered held on $1 million bond for each of two murder counts he faces.
Kristina Quintini a 28-year-old former captain of the Southern Miss Dixie Darlings dance team, and her 29-year-old boyfriend, Norris Demetrius Mueller, were found dead Saturday night. The couple’s 6-month-old daughter, Mia, was shot in her shoulder but is recovering from the wound.
Laneaux had been charged Sunday with stealing a car belonging to Quintini’s mother.
Laneaux’s attorney, Damian Holcomb, declined to comment after Wednesday’s hearing.
