Woman’s probation in DUI death case revoked
GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) – A judge has revoked probation for a woman who was driving impaired and left the scene of a fatal crash in Harrison County nine years ago.
The Sun Herald reports 30-year-old Alicia Carmack is being held for sentencing on Feb. 13.
Carmack had served prison time for her actions before and after a four-vehicle crash that killed 56-year-old James Harms on April 22, 2007. The crash occurred on Interstate 10 in Harrison County.
Carmack was still on probation when she was arrested on a grand larceny charge March 29 in George County. Carmack has since been indicted. She and two men are accused of stealing a lawn mower from a county barn.
Her arrest and indictment are the basis of her probation violation.
