Humboldt police seek man on false imprisonment charge

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Police are seeking a man they say held a woman against her will and assaulted her at a local motel.

Charius Darel Ross, 34, of Humboldt is wanted on false imprisonment and domestic assault charges, according to a release from the Humboldt Police Department.

The charges stem from an incident Sunday at a motel in Humboldt where a woman told officers a man held her inside a room and assaulted her, according to the release.

He then reportedly took her to his car and told her he was going to take her out in the country and kill her, according to the release.

The woman was then able to escape and get help. Police say she had minor injuries.
