Lifeline Blood Services holds “Fantastic Football Blood Drive” to ‘score’ more donations

JACKSON, Tenn.-Lifeline Blood Services hosted its “Fantastic Football Blood Drive, Thursday, trying to make sure there are enough donations to wrap up summer.

Subway gift cards were given away, as were t-shirts and a chance to win tickets to see the Tennessee Titans.
Organizers said they are hopeful the football theme will attract more people to donate.

“People are thinking about football and tailgating. Let’s see, if we can maximize on the fan potential, see if we can get folks out to wear their favorite fan apparel and maybe we can tie it all in with a fun day to help save lives,” said Cherie Parker with Lifeline Blood Services.

The blood drives continues Friday at Lifeline Blood Services from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
