Investigators suspect arson in Hardin Co. mobile home fire

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — Investigators suspect arson in a fire that destroyed a mobile home Monday evening in the Old Union community.

Hardin Co mobile home fireFirefighters responded around 7 p.m. Monday to the blaze in the 300 block of Walker Loop. When they arrived, the home already had collapsed and was a total loss, according to the Hardin County Fire Department.

The home did not have any utilities connected and arson is suspected, according to Fire Chief Melvin Martin.

A family had been working on the home to prepare to move in, according to Martin.
