Macy’s employee charged with embezzlement
JACKSON, Tenn. — Police arrested a Macy’s employee accused of stealing cash from the store in Jackson.
Gail Cavender appeared Wednesday in Jackson City Court. She’s charged with theft of property over $1,000 embezzlement.
Cavender is accused of stealing nearly $2,000 in cash from the store.
According to court documents, a loss prevention employee told police the thefts took place between July 2013 and November 2013. The loss prevention employee told police Cavender admitted to taking cash on 12 occasions, according to court documents.
The judge set Cavender’s bond at $5,000.
