Man accused of fatally shooting cousin in Jackson County
VANCLEAVE, Miss. (AP) – A 57-year-old man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of his cousin.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a news release that 41-year-old Eric Hampton died at a hospital Monday evening after being shot at the Vancleave home where his cousin, Mose B. Wells, lived.
Ezell says Wells was arrested at the scene on a murder charge.
Authorities did not give a motive for the shooting.
It is unclear whether Wells has an attorney.
