Jackson State Community College holds Welcome Back Bash

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson State Community College kicked off the new semester Wednesday with their Welcome Back Bash.

JSCC Welcome Back BashStudents mingled in the quad to learn more about degree programs, campus events and social clubs at the college.

Event coordinators say events like this are great for the social interaction but also to start the semester on a high note.

“There’s actually a lot of research that shows when students feel welcome and comfortable they perform better,” said Rick Locker with the Tennessee Board of Regents.

This is the second year for Tennessee Promise students. As part of the event, they were able to sign a banner and list their hopes and goals.
