Selmer business accepting donations for flood victims in LA
SELMER, Tenn.- A business owner in Selmer said with family in southern Louisiana, he has to do something to help.
The owner of Michael’s Tire Shop is accepting donations that he will take down to Baton Rouge.
Dan Michael said friends donated the truck and trailer and he hopes others step up to help the thousands who have been left with nothing.
“These people in Louisiana have lost everything. They were under 6 to 8 feet of water. We just all need to pitch in and get whatever they need to help them out,” said Michael.
Donations will be taken at the tire shop daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until September 3.
You can also drop off donations at the Fred’s and Food Giant in Selmer.
