Accused gunman charged with attempted murder in weekend shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — An accused gunman was formally charged Thursday in a weekend shooting at an east Jackson apartment complex.

Jarvis Hodges appeared in Jackson City Court on an attempted first-degree murder charge.

He is accused of shooting a man in the chest Sunday night at Park Ridge Apartments.

Police say the victim identified Hodges from a photo lineup.

The judge ordered Hodges be held and also set a $75,000 bond.
