Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Thursday
Skies will be mainly clear overnight with the conditions remaining warm and humid. Patchy fog is possible early Friday morning with light and variable winds. Temperatures will only drop to the lower and middle 70s by sunrise.
FRIDAY
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop on Friday with high temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Not everyone will get rain on but those who do, could encounter heavy downpours and frequent lightning. The best chance for the rain to occur is between the late hours of the morning and just before sunset – roughly 11am to 7pm.
Showers will remain possible into Friday night, so if you have anything planned outdoors, check the interactive radar before you head outside to see if any showers or thunderstorms are near you – https://www.wbbjtv.com/weather/interactive-radar
THIS WEEKEND
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will also be possible between the morning and afternoon hours on Saturday and Sunday. For those that don’t get rain, temperatures will likely reach the lower 90s with the humidity continuing to make it feel like temperatures are near 100°F. It’s too early to say what areas of West Tennessee will have the best chance for rain, so be prepared for pockets of heavy rain and lightning in your area this weekend.
