Mother, daughter charged in Kroger gift card fraud

JACKSON, Tenn. — Two women have been charged in gift card frauds at Kroger totaling about $1,500.

Just two days after we showed you images from Kroger surveillance video, Jackson police arrest the two women suspected of scamming the Kroger on West University Parkway out of more than $1,500.

Carmella Moss is charged with felony theft, accused of quick-talking a clerk twice into mistakenly loading $500 on a gift card without charging Moss a dime.

Officers have charged her daughter, Maonqua Patrick, with doing the same thing.

All three incidents happened earlier this month.
