Alamo assistant police chief faces domestic assault charge
CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — The assistant chief of police in Alamo was arrested this weekend on a domestic assault charge.
Steve Hooks, 48, was booked into the Crockett County jail Saturday night.
He was released Sunday morning on a $1,500 bond.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department is handling the case.
According to Police Chief Jim Knox, Hooks has a clean personnel file.
Hooks has been suspended without pay, according to Knox.
