Jackson man appears on child rape charge
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man charged with raping an 11-year-old boy appeared Monday in Jackson City Court.
Kelvin Golden, 19, is charged with rape of a child. The charge stems from an incident that reportedly happened Aug. 24 at an apartment on Roosevelt Parkway, according to court papers.
A 12-year-old girl reportedly walked in on the incident and then told her mother.
The boy described the incident during a forensic interview the next day, according to an affidavit.
Golden is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 8.
