Search for new CEO of WTHC could continue until next summer

JACKSON, Tenn.-An update on the search for a new leader of West Tennessee Healthcare, a position that has been vacant since April.

Hospital officials said they are currently vetting different search firms who will narrow down actual candidates, a process that could last until next summer.

Interm CEO James Ross said he hopes the community understands they want to find the perfect fit.

“The community needs to understand that this is a large organization and it takes time to make sure we get it right. But in the meantime, we are working diligently each and everyday to take care of every single patient,” said Ross.

Ross said the search firm will come to Jackson and spend time learning the community and the organization.
