Dyersburg man sentenced to 10 years on child porn charge

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — A man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for child pornography distribution, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Child porn graphicJonathan Lee, 21, of Dyersburg pleaded guilty in April to one count of distribution of child pornography, according to a release from the office of Edward Stanton, U.S. Attorney for West Tennessee.

Lee was accused of using email, Dropbox, video chat rooms and mobile messaging apps to exchange thousands of pornographic images of female minors, according to the release.

He also was accused of using these platforms to meet teenagers and attempting to persuade them to send him images of themselves engaged in sexual activity, the release states.

On Wednesday, Judge John T. Fowlkes sentenced Lee to 10 years in federal prison.
