Tennessee Lottery breaks sales records
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Lottery is seeing a record-breaking number of sales.
The new fiscal year started in July, and officials say total sales are 9.3 percent ahead of the same time last year.
These past two months are also the highest since the lottery began in 2004.
The increase in sales is through instant ticket sales and large jackpots for Powerball and Mega Millions.
Players have won more than $10 billion in prizes.
