Jackson police welcome new recruits

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department welcomed seven new recruits to its ranks Wednesday.

Chief Julian Wiser administered the oath of office. The new officers will train with the department until they go to the police academy in Nashville.

We requested more information about recruiting by the department this year and total number of officers on the force, but those numbers were not released.
