Police: Man entered home through window, attacked couple inside

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man faces burglary and assault charges on accusations of climbing through an unlocked window at a Jackson residence and attacking a woman and man inside.

Court papers say Jarquarus McClellan entered the home early Wednesday morning on Old Oak Circle and attacked the couple inside.

The woman told police McClellan was her ex-boyfriend and that he told her he’d kill her and her new boyfriend, according to an affidavit.

McClellan was reportedly armed with a pistol and threw a glass ash tray at the woman, hitting her in the head.

McClellan faces charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.

He is jailed in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
