Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Thursday
Clear skies tonight are forecast for most of West Tennessee though sections north of I-40 could be partly to mostly cloudy at times. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 70s by sunrise at 6:34 a.m. Friday morning. Big changes are in store for West Tennessee this weekend with an oncoming cold front expected to bring rain to the area on Saturday. Following the rain, temperatures could drop to levels we haven’t seen since May!
FRIDAY
Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy tomorrow with a chance for scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm. Some of the rain could be heavy at times but strong thunderstorms are unlikely. Overall, expect another hot and humid day with highs in the lower to middle 90s.
THIS WEEKEND
A cold front will sweep through the area bringing rain our way on Saturday. Timing when it will start to rain is still questionable, but it has been trending later in the day. This means we may be able to start dry early Saturday morning across most of West Tennessee but the chance for showers and thunderstorms will only increase through the later hours of the morning into the afternoon. By sunset, most of the rain will be on its way out of West Tennessee.
Sunday will be a sunny day with highs in just the upper 70s to lower 80s with low humidity. After cooling down that night, it’s possible that we start out in the lower to middle 50s Monday morning! Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the latest updates to the forecast!
Have a great evening!
