McAllister takes home MVP honors

MEDINA, Tenn — Last Friday, South Gibson’s Dre McAllister racked up three touchdowns on the night helping his team stay undefeated and take down TCA. Tuesday he was rewarded with the MVP honors for week four. Of course McAllister credit’s everything to good coaching and his group upfront.

“I owe it to my line, it’s a good achievement for my whole team, it show’s how hard we’ve been working,” said McAllister.

He was asked how he approaches each game, he answered. “Go in there humble, cool, calm and collective and I just let the game come to me and the rest is on the field.”

But as every good player knows, there’s always something to improve on.

“Just learn how to overcome adversity and keep going to the next play and then having a short term memory,” said McAllister.  “Just give it a 100 percent each and every practice, just get better everyday and become the best player I can be.”

McAllister will get a chance to keep his good season rolling when his team takes on McNairy Central Friday.
