Convicted felon still on loose in Chester County
HENDERSON, Tenn — For a second night, neighbors along Frankie Lane worry for their safety with convicted felon Gary Hart believed to still be in these woods.
“It was a shock for this to happen in Henderson.” said resident Jamian Green.
Late Tuesday morning, officers said Hart fired shots into the air after an argument with a family member then ran into the woods, putting schools across Chester County on lock down.
“I did see a lot of police cars in the area and I asked the newspaper guy, what was going on and he told me the guy over there was out again with a gun running lose in the neighborhood and they were looking for him,” said Resident Rita McCain.
“Lock the doors, keep the doors locked.”
Police cautioning Jamian Green and his girlfriend to stay safe.
“They told her to be careful because he was still behind the house and they were still searching for him,” Green said.
U.S. Marshals confirmed Hart was spotted twice in the woods Tuesday night, but was able to elude them yet again.
Neighbors said police were on scene all night not only searching for the suspect, but also making sure residents felt safe in their community.
“It was a lot going on in my mind last night,” resident Glenna Greens said. “I put a chair under my back door because my backyard leads to the woods so I was a little nervous.”
Neighbors said something like this is something they are just not used to in their quiet community.
“You don’t just hear about that going on in Henderson, you probably hear it somewhere else, but not in Henderson.”
