All of the proceeds from Runway for a Cure benefit the American Cancer Society. Chairman of the event, Katie Hale said it’s a night of fun with a very good purpose. “There’s a lot of people out there who are still struggling.” said Hale. “We need to find a cure.”
According to Hale, the night was also about celebrate the strengthens of those who have survived the disease.
The American Cancer Society said it has contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the over all cancer death rate between the early 90’s and 2005.
