TBI investigates fatal Decatur Co. officer-involved shooting

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. — Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Decatur County.

According to police, a deputy with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office was involved in an overnight shooting with a suspect off of exit 126 south of I-40. The suspect has died.

No officers were injured in this shooting.

The TBI is assisting the sheriff’s office in the investigation.
