Lexington HS coach charged with statutory rape
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A coach at Lexington High School has been arrested on statutory rape charges.
Adam Yates, 34, is facing two counts of statutory rape, according to Henderson County Sheriff Brian Duke.
Yates has been released on a $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Duke said the sheriff’s office was asked to investigate earlier this week. He said he believes at this time that there is one alleged victim.
