Corbyn Davis was found guilty Wednesday afternoon on charges of first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

Davis was charged with killing Jamar Rogers in 2014. The murder case had seemingly gone cold until charges were filed earlier this year.

State attorneys say the deadly encounter happened in a parking lot at the Omni Center.

Davis is scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 7. He is being held without bond.

We’ll have details from inside the courtroom this evening on WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News.
