J.C. Penney donates $100K for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
JACKSON, Tenn. — J.C. Penney is making a big donation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The company is giving $100,000 to the research done by the American Cancer Society, the nation’s largest nonprofit investor in cancer research.
With cancer affecting so many people in the U.S., organizers say it’s a gift many will benefit from.
“You either have someone in your family that has cancer or you run into someone with breast cancer, so we just want to make sure that everyone’s aware and give back,” J.C. Penney general manager Christian Barron said.
For every haircut, J.C. Penney will donate $2 for up to $50,000 to the American Cancer Society.
